Issuing a prescription

Enter the medicine, dose, frequency, duration, instructions, and optional stock use to issue a prescription from an approved case.

Complete the prescription form on an approved case, then choose whether the prescription should also reduce available stock.

Issue the prescription

  1. Enter the Drug name.
  2. Enter the Dose.
  3. Choose the Frequency.
  4. Enter Duration days. The prescription is valid for up to six months.
  5. Add Patient instructions when needed.
  6. Choose a catalogue medicine when the prescription should be linked to a product and support a patient reorder. If that product has no price, a manager must set one before it can be reordered.
  7. Select Also take this out of stock only when this prescription should use stock, then enter the units. Clineso checks dated available batches and uses the earliest-expiring stock first; it refuses the issue when there are not enough units.
  8. Select Issue prescription.

Leaving stock movement off still lets you issue the prescription without changing inventory. The form records what you enter; it does not suggest a prescription.
