Inventory — stock, batches, low-stock & expiry alerts

Add batches, monitor low stock and expiry dates, recall stock, and keep prescription fulfilment aligned with what your clinic holds.

Use /practice/inventory to see stock by medicine, add dated batches, set alerts, and recall a batch when it must not be used.

Add a delivery

  1. Select Add product if the medicine is not in the catalogue, or select Add batch on an existing medicine.
  2. Enter the batch number, quantity, expiry date, and optional notes.
  3. Save. The expiry date must be in the future.

The stock-health area shows total products, low-stock products, expiring products, and total units. Expand a medicine to see its batches, remaining quantity, expiry date, and whether a batch has been recalled.

Set useful warnings

Select Edit on a product and set its low-stock threshold and expiry-alert window in days. The product row shows the earliest expiry and the current warning state. Turn the product off when it should no longer be active, or use Recall on a batch that should not be dispensed.

When a prescription uses stock

The clinician must select Also take this out of stock and enter the units to deduct. Clineso checks dated available stock, takes units from the earliest-expiring batches first, and records which batches were used. If there is not enough available stock, the prescription is refused rather than creating a negative balance. Leaving the option off still allows the prescription to be issued without a stock movement.
